HOW AN ADEPT TEACHER “SHOOK MY WORLD”

Ah, to be with an adept, present teacher. Being personally present and face-to-face, over long-stints of time with an adept, in an intimate setting, sinks into your bones and cellular structures. There is a contagious effect that is set in motion. When I write in my poetry about the great viral Love, this is a direct experience from being in group facilitated by an Adept teacher.

An adept can help you see your hiding places, and can slow down the experience, help you name the emotion(s) clearly, feel these emotions within yourself and coach you to coax out what the deeper, stuck aspects of yourself are whispering, clenching and holding in resistance. An adept teacher sweeps away extraneous vocabularies, including spiritual vocabularies, in favor of uncovering what is truly authentic.

An Adept facilitating group work is supportive in ways that really surprised me. When I reached a core point of my own personal trauma in the third day in a group, it was uncanny that five or six other people's own trauma were ignited by my getting to the core and illuminating my own held/stored pain. The felt experience of knowing and seeing the shared experience of my pain, existing in others, in their own experiences, creates a binding, a determination, that we are so very all in this together. This is not an intellectual experience, this is an "we are all woven into a human emotional fabric" experience.

We are, in many ways, gateways into each other.

All this creates an incredible "intimacy", supporting a opening up and cherishing the new ground that is birthed. Adepts can really open us up and assist in facilitating our ongoing growth. They hold and create a “we space” that allows a collapsing into One-ness.

I cannot begin to fathom how I would have done this level or depth-of-work without an adept, such as [speak with others and obtain references here and trust your heart]. The real-time, interactive nature of working with someone and within a group setting was invaluable. I might also note that 96% of the time in the group, each of us is honoring and holding the space for someone else to open, so there is this capability of holding the space open to allow others to empty-out and then grow, that builds another whole set of "muscles" (listening, empathy, felt-ness, being present in close proximity to the very strong vibrations of others, etc.).

You can only do so much solo, then there comes the time to be with an Adept.
Fortunately, Asheville is on the mainline for Adepts to visit and share the presence.
