- Jnaniji is the spiritual director at The Self-Inquiry Center. Soon after discovering Ramana Maharshi and Self-inquiry, he experienced Self-realization and sought stabilization under the direction of A. Ramana (AHAM). While at AHAM, Jnaniji (formerly Nick Gancitano) was guided in a vision by Ramana Maharshi to share Self-inquiry.
In 2002, several of his friends/students formed the South Florida and Tiruvannamalai, India-based Atma-Vichara Ashram around him, where Jnaniji was the acting spiritual director for five years before teaching abroad from 2007 to 2010. During this time, he authored several books and developed the detailed curriculum for the NEW Self-Inquiry Center, established in South Florida in 2010. In 2018, the ashram opened in Asheville to support those on the path of Self-inquiry. He resides at the Asheville center and disseminates the teaching at biweekly Satsangs and retreats.
