Event Description

I will be hosting another Awakening in Nature retreat this Sunday. We will begin with some grounding meditation before our journey into the forest along the Blue Ridge Parkway. After grounding and setting an intention, we will walk silently into the natural beauty that gives us the air we breath. If time allows we will have some time for personal sharing before returning.

The weather is unpredictable, so bring a jacket in case it rains. Comfortable shoes and water are also a must.

I can hold up to 4 passengers in my car, so please email me ( to confirm you're planning to go so we can see if we need other drivers. I personally love to take meditative drives, which makes the "getting there" is as awakening as the "being there."

We will meet at the West Gate shopping plaza at the back of the parking lot near Jason's Deli at 5:30, and depart around 5:45. I may be able to pick up some passengers on the way to West Gate, so let me know if you're interested in that option.

Suggested donation is $10 (click here to donate online -

Letter from participant:

"Based on my experience, I recommend this Meetup highly and will gladly attend as often as possible. Trey was just lovely and exuded such warmth and kindness. He offers a safe, light space for anyone in his presence. The group seemed as if I knew them well before the meetup and there was a massive exchange of beautiful energy amongst the whole group. Although the retreat was mostly silent, there has never been so much said and felt amongst a group of “strangers”. Through this Meetup, I have found friendship, peace, and well being all in one place. To anyone looking for a soul family, this is your Meetup! " - Amal

This is just a reminder about the Awakening in Nature hike tomorrow. We will be doing it rain or shine, so bring a jacket and/or umbrella. We will be hiking up to Craggy Gardens Pinnacle, which is a moderate hike that is a bit rocky, so closed-toed shoes are best. Craggy Gardens is approximately a 40 minute drive from Asheville. The hike to the top is 20 to 30 minutes. We will gather at the end of the parking lot near the trailhead, which is on the opposite end from the entrance. There are restrooms conveniently located at either end of the parking area.

We will be meeting at the Westgate Plaza at the back of the lot near Jason's Deli at 6:30 p.m. Be on the look out for my car (Silver Kia Soul). We will leave Westgate once everyone is present, but no later than 6:45. If you prefer to meet us at the Craggy Gardens parking lot we should be there between 7:15 and 7:30. We will have a brief yoga practice before heading up the mountain around 8:00. Depending on how long we want to stay and enjoy the sunset (assuming it's not too cloudy to see), we will be arriving back in Asheville around 9:45.

As of this moment it looks like we will need at least 2 drivers, so let me know if you would like to volunteer. Also, if you are willing to pick people up on the way to the meeting spot at Jason's Deli, please let me know. We have people coming from different ends of town that might want a ride to the pick up location. If you are planning to come, please be sure to email me ( to confirm so we can plan accordingly. Thank you to those of you who have already donated. If you have not already done so here is the link -

Here are a few things to consider bringing:
Good shoes
Rain gear
Something to sit on (optional)
Snack (optional)

That's it for now. I'm very excited about sharing this sacred space in nature with all of you. :)

In peace,
