I am very heartened to see growing interest in non - dual awareness in the U.S. Although my time is limited on the internet due to my heavy travel schedule for the next year, I look forward to participating whenever I can manage to get on the net. I hope to make it to your neck of the country one day soon.

Trey-
Wonderful that you got donations to cover the Ning fee. My HS class also used Ning but stopped when they started charging and switched to something called mixxt.net
Thanks.

Thanks Trey. I'm living in NY currently, but I love Asheville and have visited there often when I lived in Durham NC. Looking forward to getting back to Asheville sometime in the not too distant future.

Osho certainly says some wonderful truths...certainly worth quoting. Certainly Osho outs into words the unspeakable in such a way as to communicate the wakeful life. I have known several people personally who spent time with Osho, some in India, some at the Oregon ranch. However, none of them woke up with Osho. For instance, Arjuna Ardagh didn't wake up until he had spent a year in PapJi's house in India in the early 1990s. So my take is that Osho appears to be awake, but perhaps wasn't able to pass That along to others. Not to diminish, as that time in the world he was here was a darker time, pre-Eckhart,etc. Same with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. Both of thesemasters "worked" in a darker time,consciousness-wise.

Now, the paradigm has shifted, in my view. So it is easier to Be who we are at the Core of ourselves. To me, we are the One Beingness -- Alive in all people and animals and creation, sentient or not -- living a "human" life, usually separate from others and our own Inner Nature. The wonderful happening is when we wakeup to the Inner Nature that has always been here, usually covered over by thoughts and emotions. I see this as the reason we meet here at Asheville Sangha. To explore this Inner Nature that is always Here, Now.

Tom Thompson is coming from Southern Pines to be with us in Satsang Sept 10-11. Let's all Be together. This Beingness is catching, as GangaJi is fond of saying.

The Divine is all around us, in us, and has always been Here, Now. It is not an energy or a mechanism. It is the Source of energy and mechanisms. We are in a new paradigm where there is no longer a master high above on a stage with the "students" sitting below wondering how many lifetimes until they become perfectly enlightened.

The new paradigm is friend-to-friend. The divine joke is that the unsatisfied ego condition wants to be "enlightened" because ego assumes it will then be satisfied and live a perfect life story. But in order to be Awake as the Impersonal Self, the separate egoic identity must take a seat in the back of the bus. The more ego stays back out of the forefront, and the farther back it sits in the bus, the deeper the Wakeness is at the forefront, allowing the bus to be driven "on it's own", and real happiness shines through the mortal coil the ego used to run.

Master's point to Beingness. That is a worthy role. But I think it is not helpful to put a teacher up on too high a pedestal because it tends to prevent others from claiming the Wakefullness that is their True Nature. Always Here, Now. Let us claim our True Nature Now, by being in this moment, not the past or future. Just Be Here Now. Hum, I notyice the body is breathing on it's own. I am in the belly feeling sensations. i am in the bottoms of the feet feeling sensations. I breathe. I rest in the breath, and the Gap inbetween breaths, rather than the mind. I am Here, Now.

Hi Trey,
Thanks for the 'friend' invitation. My partner Stephen and I attended one of the Awakening Practices groups, but haven't managed to get back there again. I'm still trying to figure out how this sangha operates. Is there a group that meets, or is this all on-line exchanges?
Hope you're doing well.
Laurie

Thank you Trey,

I would love to come to the meeting tomorrow night but I can't make it. I tried to find out if these are weekly meetings but was unable to obtain that information - can you let me know? Eckhart Tolle is one of my greatest teachers. Blessings, K.C.
