Event Description

If so, you might be taking your practice and yourself too seriously. To paraphrase Oscar Wilde: “Spirituality is too important to be taken seriously.”
“This is about enlightenment, not enheaviment,” says spiritual teacher Jac O’ Keeffe. Most seriousness comes from and reinforces our spiritual identity. This precludes surrender and sabotages our spiritual progress. The Wise Fool course helps you lighten up on yourself – the one person that is standing in your way. As Vedanta teacher James Swartz says, “Jivanmukti isn’t freedom for yourself; it’s freedom from yourself.”
Shakespeare said it best, "A fool thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be a fool."          By becoming a wise fool you will cultivate the playful innocence of the Divine Inner Child; the pureness of heart and fearless self-confidence of Don Quixote; the humor and empathy of Charlie Chaplin’s The Tramp; and the humility, peace, wisdom and compassion of the Dalai Lama, who proclaims, “I am just a simple Buddhist monk.”
The course will run the 5 Thursdays in April starting April 1, April Fool’s Day and it is eminently affordable. For questions or more information email elliotsullivan3@gmail.com
