Event Description

On Sunday, September 22nd at 1 p.m. Trey Carland will be at City Lights Bookstore, in Sylva, NC to share inspirations, meditations and revelations from his book. Trey is the author of "A Seeker's Guide to Inner Peace" which is a collection blogs written about his experiences and is intended to bring the life lessons he learned to a broader audience and offer insights to happiness and spiritual enlightenment.

In this workshop/book signing, Trey, will assist you in exploring what it is like to be fully present, and to see what you truly are underneath all of the stories you have about yourself (and others). Using simple meditation techniques, Self-inquiry and The Work, Trey will help guide you to That which you seek. The teachings and experiences shared in this book are actually lessons on how to live a happier and more peaceful life. Since this book shares real life experiences with which most of us can relate, it also serves as a road map to bring about a deeper understanding of what Awakening means in our daily lives. It's about building present moment awareness.

Trey grew up in the Sylva/Cullowhee area and now serves as the co-founder of the Asheville Sangha online community. He also facilitates Awakening Practices Group meetings in the Asheville area.
